Va's story

Va S., 48, is a widow and lives with her two children in Dangkao, Cambodia. S. is involved in the business of sewing clothes, purses, and wallets. She is able to earn an income of USD $10 per day to help cover the family expenses. She has been engaged in this business since 2003. S. and her family members try to work hard and help each other to ensure a good standard of living for the family. They are seeking to improve their business as well. As a result, S. is requesting a loan of US $1000 from CREDIT, Kiva’s partner. She wants to use the loan to buy a new sewing machine to expand her current business.
