Hong M., 37, is a widow and lives with her two school-aged children in Dangkao, Cambodia.
M. is involved in the business of selling groceries and she is able to earn an income of US$10 per day to help cover the family expenses. She has engaged in this business since 2007.
M. and her family members try to work hard and help each others to ensure a good standard of living for the family and they are seeking to improve their businesses as well. As a result, M. is requesting for a loan of US$1,000 from CREDIT, Kiva’s partner. She wants to use the loan to buy more groceries to stock her store. This is her first loan from CREDIT.
