A loan of $725 helped buy groceries to stock her business.

Adela's story

Adela belongs to the Sarita Colonia Communal Bank in the Juanjui district, Mariscal Cáceres province, San Martín department. She is 54, married, and has three children. One is still in school and dependent upon her.

Adela is a hard-working woman who feels capable of reaching her goals and dreams. For ten years she has been selling groceries. She has always had her husband’s support. With her first loan from Manuela Ramos she was better able to set up her business . The business is in a very well equipped area of her house, where she waits on her customers. She now has a lot of experience with this type of work. She is very well known and much loved by her customers.

She currently has loyal customers who go to her store daily, and they find everything a housewife needs. She personally waits on them with her characteristic charisma.

With this loan for 2,000 PEN she will buy sacks of rice and sugar, packages of noodles, boxes of milk and preserved fish of various brands, home cleaning supplies, and personal hygiene items in order to offer better customer service.

Adela feels herself to be a fulfilled woman, and she has a great desire to keep going forward to make her dreams come true. She is grateful to Manuela Ramos for helping her start her business and for helping other women who want to grow entrepreneurially.
