A loan of $900 helped purchase supplies.

Geny's story

Sra. Geny is a member of the Commuanl Bank “El Breo”, which is in the District of Juanjui, Mariscal Cáceres Province, Department of San Martín. She is 40 years old, single, and the mother of three dependent children.

Hoping to see her children become professionals who can earn their own income, Geny decided to establish her own business. She has experienced several highs and lows in her life, but the enterprising spirit she is always known for has allowed her to succeed. Geny started selling prepared meals and has been in business now for four years. She sells the food out of her home, which is well-equipped for accommodating her customers. Geny gradually developed a good reputation among neighbors, friends, and relatives who became her customers. Sales have done well because her food is very flavorful.

With this loan of 2500 soles, Geny will buy supplies needed for preparing meals such as sacks of rice and sugar, cases of chickens and eggs, bananas by the bunch, noodles and oil by the dozen, as well as cooking utensils. This will enable her to provide quality service. Geny still feels strongly about continuing her business. She thanks Manuela Ramos for contributing toward the completion of her dreams and goals.
