A loan of $1,800 helped a member working capital increase.

Tania Gloria's Group's story

The AMAZONAS communal bank is in the Alto Seguencoma zone (La Rinconada) and is starting its fifth loan cycle; they have never had a problem with their repayments. Meetings are held in Tania's house. She has a neighborhood grocery store and lives with her sister, Ingrid, who is also a group member; Ingrid is a sales executive with a company. The governing board is made up of Mery, who works at a boarding house, Jhudith who is a domestic worker. They are all people who are well known among themselves and have different lines of work. For example, Sabina prepares meals, Miriam sells salchipapas (French fries with fried hot dog sausages) and others, and Eduardo, who is a locksmith in the same location. Also members of the group are: Salome, who works as a domestic, Martha, who is a cook at the police station, Edgar, who services and repairs computers, Juan, who is a taxi driver, and Erika who distributes groceries in the same area. All of the members are grateful to Emprender and Kiva for trusting them and granting the loan.

In this group: Tania Gloria, Salome, Martha, Edgar Clovis, Zenon Juan, Erika Julieta, Eduardo Willy, Mirian Rosario, Judith Rosa, Sabina, Ingrid Ximena, Mery Lucy
