A loan helped a member to purchase natural fertilizer and fuel for her farm.

Sararay Group's story

Sararay, 46, is a married mother of three children who lives in the Prey Veng province of Cambodia. She is a farmer and has been working in her rice farm to make profits to support the life expenses for the past 20 years.

Her husband is a construction worker. This couple typically earns around 15 USD per day.

With the group of five members led by Sararay, who appears the first on the right in the photo, she would like to use her loan share to purchase natural fertilizer and fuel for her farm.

She believes these purchases will allow her to increase her crop yields and her profits as well.

In the future, she is going to purchase two more acres of farmland, build a new house and help her children’s studies.
