Camila's story

Camila, 70, is a member of the "Las Golondrinas II" communal bank, which is in Tarapoto district, San Martín province, San Martín department. She is married and has 3 adult children. Camila has sold prepared meals for the last 8 years and has been acquiring work experience bit by bit. She relates to us that she's done well with her sales; she is well-known and well-liked by her customers, thanks to the great flavor she puts into her dishes. She continues to this day in her work and it is she, herself, who tends to her customers with the good-humor and charm that have always characterized her. She will use this 3000 sol loan to buy sacks of rice and sugar, various vegetables, crates of eggs and chickens. She will also buy some kitchen utensils to replace some of the ones she has so that she can offer better customer service. Camila feels sure of herself and with the desire to continue working to get ahead and secure for herself a peaceful life. She is grateful to the Manuela Ramos Movement for contributing to the fulfillment of her dreams and goals.
