Naume's story

Naume is a 30-year-old, entrepreneur who lives with her two children and husband in the Nyaminyami district in Zimbabwe. She runs a flea market, selling clothes and shoes. Naume is requesting a Kiva loan to increase the size and range of her stock. She plans to use the profits she earns to support her family.

Naume will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a CAMFED Transition Guide, supporting other young women who are just entering CAMFED’s alumnae organization, CAMA, by delivering an orientation course with weekly sessions on topics including health and financial literacy, as well as by providing career guidance.
