A loan helped to buy chickens, feed, vaccines and construction materials to fix the sheds where she will raise the chickens.

Jessica Maribel's story

Jessica Maribel is 33 years old, married and has 7 children. She lives with her family in Santo Domingo. The majority of local residents are dedicated to the agricultural or livestock trades. In this area peppers, bananas, taro, cocoa and tropical fruits are grown.

Jessica is a responsible and enterprising woman who has worked as a household assistant for several years. Her employers have great trust in her since she is very respected in their houses. She is also dedicated to raising chickens on the farm and she sells them to stores in the area. Her spouse has worked as a laborer since he was very young on different farms in the area.

Jessica will invest the money from the loan in the purchase of chickens, formulated feed, vaccines and construction materials to fix the sheds where she will raise the chickens.

Jessica's dreams is to purchase a plot of land on which to build her house.
