Zoila Teresa's story

The city of Portoviejo was affected by the earthquake of April 16, 2016. The city is rich in the production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruits for domestic consumption.

Zoila is 66 years old, divorced, and has an adult and independent child. She lives in her own house.

For over 20 years, Zoila has worked in sales, with which she has been able to get ahead. She works selling a variety of clothing which relatives who live there send to her from the USA. What she sells most are Victoria Secret products such as splash, creams, lingerie, and other products. She also sells products from Yanbal catalogs (beauty products, cosmetics, perfumes, and accessories for women), and steel jewelry.

She sells these in her house and gives them to her friends who help her with the sales. She leaves them on credit and collects weekly or monthly.

With this new loan, she will to purchase creams, perfumes, lingerie, costume jewelry, etc. Her dream is to have a boutique in her house.
