The communal bank “Señor Cautivo D. Ayabaca” is composed of 10 members. They are fighters and enterprising, and who all live in the central part of Huaycán and work in the retail industry. They have been working with Kiva partner EDAPROSPO with prosperity for 3 years. Vite Eufracia is a member of the group who has taken on the roll of being the president of the group over the past year. She is 39 years old, married, and has 5 children, who are 12, 13, 15, 18, and 20 years old. She has been selling lollipops and candy for a living, as well as performing domestic household activities in particular houses for 1 year. As a result of her daily hard work, she has been able to purchase a computer and pay for her childen to go to college, along with the help of her husband who works as a public transportation driver. The recent loan will be used to pay off her debts and invest in her small business. The members of the group are appreciative of the support provided and commit to pay the installments on the agreed-upon dates.
