A loan of $725 helped to buy tires and to maintain his vehicle.

Trifon Andres's story

Trifon works in public transportation; he owns a trufi (minibus) and he is a member of the ATL organization (in Bolivia, public transport vehicles are privately-owned and organized into routes by various union organizations.) He drives a route from the center of the city to diverse locations in the southern part of the city. His wife, Simona, is a housekeeper in the Los Pinos neighborhood. They have 5 children; 2 of them are adults and work independently and the others are school-aged. He began working with Emprender in the year 2003 in the Aguilas group. Since that date he has also worked as needed as a dump truck driver for the construction of the "Bridge of Triplets" (a major public construction project in La Paz.) He has lived with his family in a house owned by a relative for 6 years, where they serve as caretakers. He is very grateful to Emprender and Kiva for the confidence provided in granting him this loan.
