Mrs. Sothim Poa Village Bank Group's story

This village bank loan consists of twenty members who are located in Liek village in Kandal province. Each member will use the loan for a different purpose. Mrs. Sothim P. is the village bank president. She is 45 years old and the mother of three children, two of whom are working in a garment factory and the other is studying at the local public school. Mrs. Sothim P. is a housewife and her husband, Mr. Vean Gneab, is a construction worker. Although her husband tries to work hard, he still earn less income than needed to support the family so Mrs. Sothim P. decided to ask for a loan to buy a thousand kilograms of rice for eating.
