Juana Del Carmen's story

Juana del Carmen García E. is 49 years old. She is married to a construction supervisor, who helps her with monthly expenses. They live in a modest neighborhood, Barrio San Antonio Sur, and have two daughters (18 and 16). They are students, and their religion is Protestant. Mrs. García’s greatest dream is to be able to provide support for her daughters so that they can complete their studies. She has sold groceries for 10 years. The major problem she has faced through the years has been unsound housing. For this reason they are requesting a loan to purchase larger quantities of products and/or groceries, which would lead to more income, and in the long term would translate into better living conditions for the entire family. This would also offer the best means of providing her daughters with a better future. The loan would represent a source of income for the family that would make life stable for them.
