A loan of $1,950 helped to buy sheep to increase her income from livestock breeding.

Railakan's story

Railakan is 63 years old, married, and has 2 adult children. Railakan has a higher education, and she works as a librarian in a rural district. As a source of additional income for her family she has been working in agriculture and livestock since 2002. Thanks to Railakan's hard work and with the help of her husband on the farm, her farm today has 5 cows and 19 sheep.

In order to further develop her farm, Railakan applied to the bank "Bai-Tushum" for a loan in the amount of 135,000 som (KGS) to buy a sheep with the goal of increasing her income from livestock. Railakan plans to use the proceeds from the loan to continue to invest in the development of her farm, thereby improving the living conditions of her family, and one part she will put aside to buy some land.
