A loan helped to purchase calves in order to increase her livestock headcount.

Kuluzat's story

Kuluzat is 61 years old, married, and the mother-of-many to 10 children. Her youngest son is 15 years old and her eldest is 41. Kuluzat has a secondary education. As the main source of income for her family she has been working with livestock and agriculture since 1982. Thanks to Kuluzat's hard work and the help of her husband on the farm, her farm today has 3 cows, 40 sheep, and a land share of 0.8 hectares on which she grows potatoes and corn for grain. The farm also has a truck, which Kuluzat's husband uses to offer taxi services and as a passenger car.

In order to further develop her farm, Kuluzat applied to the bank "Bai-Tushum" for a loan in the amount of 100,000 som (KGS) to buy young calves in order to increase the size of her herd. Kuluzat plans to invest the proceeds from the loan into improving her family's living conditions.
