A loan helped a member to purchase sheep for resale in order to profit from them for the family.

Amakene Group's story

Hadiaratou is the woman with the hand raised in the photo and she is from Mali. She is married, 40 years old, and the mother of five children from 4-12 years old. Her husband is a farmer. Hadiaratou has raised sheep for the last nine years. She often deals with illnesses with the sheep. She uses RMCR loans to increase her turnover that will permit her to make a better profit. Purchases and sales happen in the local fairs in the center of town. With her profit, she manages to help her family in taking care of expenses for her children (medical bills, clothes...).
She hopes to build a better house for her family in the future.
