A loan of $350 helped to buy 150kg of seeds, 100kgs of chemical fertilizer to grow potatoes, and 210kg of pig feed and 200kg of white rice to resell.

Beza's story

Beza is 48 years old. He’s married and has eight children, two of whom are adults. His family lives in an isolated rural village. In his daily life, Beza raises livestock. His wife sells white rice. The couple helps each other meet the basic needs of their family.

Beza receives loans from Vahatra to increase his financial capital. The partnership is profitable, and he was able to increase his grazing lands, add to his herd, and increase the amount of white rice his wife is able to sell. In two years, he was able to build some savings and plans to buy land on which he can build.

Beza is once again looking to receive another loan. He is asking the loaners to help him buy 150kg of potato seeds, 100kg of chemical fertilizer, 210kg of feed, and a pig. A portion of the money from the loan will allow him to buy 200kg of white rice to sell. His products will be sold in the local market. He wishes for the support of the loaners, who he greets with a smile.
