A loan helped a member to buy additional sacks of rice, pork and chicken meat, vegetables and condiments to cook more dishes to serve to her customers.

Golden Hills Masikap Group's story

Erlinda is separated from her husband. Solely providing for her two children, Erlinda has engaged in different work and businesses, and later settling on running a small store in their house and selling cooked dishes, which she does best. Raising her children single-handedly is difficult but Erlinda is enthusiastic in all her dealings and easily gets along well with others, which makes her store retain loyal customers.

Soon, Erlinda's cooked dishes gained popularity and she attracted staff and visitors from a nearby medical center in their community to buy her meals. She is requesting a loan to buy additional sacks of rice, pork and chicken meat, vegetables and condiments to cook more dishes to serve to her customers. With this, Erlinda is hopeful she will be able to cover the market that seeks dishes for breakfast and dinner as well.

Part of the loan will also be shared with the other women from her group, which SEED Center Philippines, Inc. helped organize in their community.
