A loan helped to buy fertilizer for her coffee farm and expand with new crops.

Norma Isabel's story

Norma is 37 years old and lives in the village of Alto Tambillo, a small community of coffee farmers 45 minutes from the province of San Ignacio, Peru. Her parents taught her agricultural work when she was a child. She lives with her two school-age children.

Norma is dedicated to coffee farming. She tends to her own 2 hectare plot of excellent quality and good tasting coffee. She sells it at the cooperative in her area. Norma has dreams of giving the best living conditions to her two children and of improving her home.

The loan will allow her to improve the quality of her coffee with fertilization and expand her coffee area with new crops. The income she obtains from the harvest will give her better opportunities to support her family. It is her second loan from Norandino and she is grateful to Kiva investors.
