A loan of $1,100 helped to buy chickens, feed, water feeders and vaccines.

Angela Maria's story

Tosagua is a productive Canton, where cocao , coffee, bananas, and maize are grown. In addition there is livestock, poultry and pigs. The local cuisine is well known; the most important dish is fried and roasted “chame” fish.
Angela is 40 years old, she is single, has no children and lives with her mother. Angela and her mother raise chickens at home. When they are grown she slaughters them for sale by the pound. She and her mother have been in this trade for four years. She also works in private houses doing cleaning. She will use this new loan to buy chickens, feed, water feeders and vaccines. Her dream is to have a farm so she can continue to rear animals for sale.
