A loan of $500 helped to purchase fertilizers and pay the labor costs to harvest the coffee.

Elvin Adonis's story

Elvin is 24 years old, married, has a child, and lives with his family in a community of the municipality of Gracias, Lempira.

For 8 years, he has worked growing and selling coffee. He sells the production as parchment coffee to intermediaries in the same area. He does this work on his own land, near his house.

Elvin wants to invest in his coffee crop and has decided to ask for a loan for the amount of 12,000 lempiras to purchase fertilizers and pay the labor costs to harvest the coffee. This will help him give his coffee crop good care and get better harvests.

His goal is to grow more coffee to get better harvests and, in the end, more income.
