El Alacaraban Group's story

The Alacaraban Group is made up of three women who have been working since they were young to earn a living and improve their families' quality of life. Josefa de Carmen M. started selling fruit when she was twenty. She assures us that while her business started out very small, now, twenty years later, she buys and sells wholesale.

Ana Nubia M. G. has been selling fruit since 1979 in the Masaya market, which has grown little by little. Ziria de los Ángeles T. M. began selling seasonal fruits when she was very young.

In the coming new year they will invest in citrus fruits like oranges and tangerines, which are in high demand this time of year.
