The Alacaraban Group is made up of three women who have been working since they were young to earn a living and improve their families' quality of life. Josefa de Carmen M. started selling fruit when she was twenty. She assures us that while her business started out very small, now, twenty years later, she buys and sells wholesale.

Ana Nubia M. G. has been selling fruit since 1979 in the Masaya market, which has grown little by little. Ziria de los Ángeles T. M. began selling seasonal fruits when she was very young.

In the coming new year they will invest in citrus fruits like oranges and tangerines, which are in high demand this time of year.

El grupo el Alacaraban está conformado por tres mujeres que desde su juventud han trabajado para ganarse el sustento y mejorar las condiciones de vida de su familia. Josefa del Carmen M. comenzó a vender frutas a la edad de 20 años, ella asegura que en sus inicios su comercio era muy reducido pero actualmente luego de 20 años compra y vende por mayor.

Ana Nubia M. G. desde 19979 vende frutas y verduras en el mercado de Masaya el cual poco a poco ha crecido y Ziria de los Ángeles T. M. desde muy joven empezó a comercializar frutas de acuerdo a la temporada.

En este nuevo año que inicia invertirán en cítricos como naranjas, mandarina que tiene gran demanda en está temporada.

The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee.
