A loan of $350 helped buy a machine to help her patch tires.

Drusila's story

Drusila, 23, is a hard-working young woman. She lives in a rented room with her 28 year old husband, Yony, and her one year old daughter, Amira. She wishes to give them a better quality of life. Her youth has not been an impediment for Drusila because she was able to open her tire store. It is her own business, and her husband also works there. Her business is very busy with the interprovincial vehicles because the tire shop is located very close to the bus terminal. What she likes best about her work is that it allows her to manage her time between work and the household chores. She has been in the business for four years. The most difficult part is loading the heavy tires to repair them.

In the future she hopes to improve the business’ facilities to be able to take care of a greater number of customers.

This is Drucila’s first loan with MFP. She knows that she needs to make all of her payments on time, and she is prepared to do so. She is very happy in her communal bank. She will use the 1,000 PEN that she is requesting to buy a machine to help her patch the tires that have been perforated. That way she will be able to generate more earnings.
