A loan helped to buy a cow for breeding.

Jose Rafael's story

José is 67 years old. He lives with his wife in the community of Sachapamba, a community near the parish of Urcuqui. They have always worked in agriculture and raised animals such as cattle and pigs to maintain their family and pay for the education of their children.

José works hard getting up very early to work on his tomato and passion fruit crops and then he takes care of the animals. At this time he has three bulls so he needs to add a cow. This is the reason he is requesting a new loan to buy a cow.

José is always looking for ways to have better income to be able to save money so he is always looking for alternatives such as buying the cow that will be used for breeding and to produce milk product to sell and also feed his family.
