Mrs. Chhang Vanna Village Bank Group's story

This village bank consists of 16 people who live in Dak Por village in Takeo province. All the members will use the loan that they have obtained for different purposes. Mrs. C. Vanna is the village bank president who has been selected by the members. She is a farmer who owns a small field on which she cultivates rice for a living. Her husband, Mr. Bil Chantha, is a construction worker who can earn a small income to support the family. Although they try to work hard, they still do not earn enough income to support the family, so Mrs. C. Vanna decided to ask for a loan to buy more rice to keep in stock to resell at a better price. Mrs. C. Vanna is a mother of five children, one of whom is a garment worker, while three of the others are attending the local school and the youngest one, at the age of five, is too young to work or study.
