A loan of $350 helped purchase of groceries for business expantion.

Livia Soledad's story

Livia is 35 years old, is separated from her husband and has a 2 year old daughter. She lives close to her family in Cayaltí District, located one hour from the city of Chiclayo.

For 10 years she has had a small grocery store set up in her house. She sells basics necessities (rice, sugar, oil) and groceries to her neighbors and to the customers who frequent her store. Additionally, she offers a food service to the various lodgers and tourists in the area. Her business is welcomed thanks to her good nature and her talent for cooking.

Livia finds herself, for the first time, requesting a loan of 1000 PEN from Edpyme Alternativa, which she plans to invest in the purchase of more groceries so she can expand her business.

Her greatest wish is to provide her daughter with a quality education. She is a responsible mother and always works to get ahead in spite of her difficulties.
