A loan helped to buy beef in bulk.

Florence's story

Florence is a 44-year-old woman and the mother of 3 children aged 3-17. All three of the children go to school. Florence has been a merchant in a local neighborhood square for 8 years. She sells beef (tails, feet and skin).

She knows this line of business well and is requesting this loan to increase her stock of merchandise (to buy more beef to increase her sales and thus her profits). She will reinvest part of the profits to grow her business and use the rest to better meet her little family's needs.

Translated from French by Kiva volunteer Meredith Sopher.

This loan is special because:

It gives poor business owners in Cameroon the capital to grow their businesses.
