A loan helped a member to buy 30 sacks of cement and to grow her business.

Gradi Terminus Group's story

Ms. Sara sells cement and construction materials and is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima. She has a storage area in a neighborhood that was recently subdivided. She gets her supplies locally from the large wholesalers in the city. They have an association of small cement vendors that helps them protect themselves.

She is a young entrepreneur and, at age 22, the leader of the group "Gradi Terminus" as well as the mother of 3 schoolchildren. Ms. Sara started her business with her own funds and financial support from her husband. She has been in this business for 3 years.

In early 2016, she joined Hekima's loan program to increase her capital. With the new loan, she will buy 30 sacks of cement to grow her business. She would like to improve her business, keep sending her children to school and providing food for them, and build a beautiful house.

Finally, Ms. Sara would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they give to non-bankable entrepreneurs. Thanks to Hekima's loans, she can take care of her family. Note: one woman in the photo is holding her baby.
