Surenhorol's story

E. operates a business making wood products in his town. The business is very family oriented, as his wife sells the products while he makes them. He started this business in 2009 after managing a hair salon with his mother for 6 years. He is continuing with the hair salon as well as his furniture making business.


E. is 27 years old and lives with his wife and 7-year-old son in Bayanhongor province, Mongolia. He and his family live in a ger (a traditional Mongolian nomadic tent). His wife helps with the family business by selling secondhand goods and the wood products out of a shipping container in their town.


Their business has been successful and they have grown a stable operation. Using his savings, E. has been able to support his family. E. attributes his success to the quality of his products, which are much desired by his customers. He is planning to have his own factory in the future. He is requesting a 3,000,000 tugrug loan to purchase more wood and paint for the business.
