Las Lomas De San Juan Group's story

Las Lomas de San Juan Community Bank is made up of twelve enthusiastic and enterprising members who have a variety of jobs in areas such as production, business, and services. They have been working with Kiva Partner EDAPROSPO- Prosperidad for between six months and a year.

Fernando Edgar has the job of president. He is 37 years old, married, and has three children aged 16, 14, and 3. For the last four years he has been selling chickens. He started in this business because initially he worked in a company where he learned some skills and got to know his customers. He then decided to work independently and now goes to different markets to sell his product. Through his hard work Fernando has managed to buy a piece of land, improve his quality of life, and educate his children.

The recent loan will be used to buy merchandise for the Christmas season. All the members of the group are grateful for the help that the money gives them and promise to repay it in the time period agreed upon.
