A loan of $375 helped to construct a toilet at her home in order to get access to sanitation facilities.

Pranati's story

Pranati is a 41-year-old woman living in Kendrapara district of Odisha. She has a household of three members and a monthly income of 8,200 INR. Her family has been struggling in the absence of a toilet at home or in the immediate vicinity. They are forced to walk long distances to find private spots such as dense bushes or isolated fields to defecate. In such areas, women and girls, especially, often resort to walking in the dark to relieve themselves.

Hence, she wants to build a toilet at home as soon as possible. She has therefore applied for a loan of 25,000 INR from Gram Utthan, one of Milaap's field partners, to purchase raw materials and cover the costs of labor. Your loan will help her family lead a healthy, safe and comfortable life. She will be thankful to her lenders.
