A loan of $1,075 helped to build a sales stall in her community.

Sonia's story

Sonia M. S. is 34 years-old, married with 2 children. The children are ages 3 and 15 years respectively. Sonia has worked for 2 years selling new clothes and now wants to sell second-hand clothing. The loan that she requests will be used to build a sales stall in her community. This loan will help because she will have a fixed place to sell her merchandise and thus will not have to go out into the street to sell it. This is the first time Señora Sonia has requested financing from FUDECOSUR. She hopes that she can contribute to the studies of her children and have a better financial income.

The Foundation for the Development of Southern Communities is dedicated to economically empowering its clients by providing credit and capacitating programs to improve living conditions of micro-entrepreneurs and their children across Southern Costa Rica.
