A loan of $2,100 helped a member buy merchandise.

Santa Rosa Grande Group's story

The board of directors of the communal bank is comprised of Francisca Sofia, who sells chocolates wholesale in her home. Teresa, the treasurer, sells clothes. Glorieta, the secretary, has a telephone booth business. These three women are the head of the communal bank comprised of ten people who guarantee each other.

Most of them have their own fixed business. The other 20% work with merchandise going door to door. They do not have their own homes. They are very hard-working mothers, and their businesses are their only source of income to support their households.

They are responsible with their loan. They are in their second cycle with our institution, and there have been no problems.

In this group: Francisca Sofia, Justina Maria, Elisa, Silvia, Teresa Serafina, Jorge Luis, Marcela, Maruja, Glorieta, Hilaria
