A loan of $1,525 helped to buy bed sheets.

Maryuri Maricela's story

Maryuri Maricela is 42 years old and currently is separated. From that relationship, she had 8 children, 6 of whom are independent adults, and two of whom are 15 and 16 years old and attend high school. They live in Manta, a beautiful city located on the banks of the Pacific and south of the Manabí province, known for its lovely beaches and exquisite cuisine.

She is a persistent and hardworking woman who, in order to support herself and her children, works selling bed sheets. She sells door to door, and makes her rounds in the afternoons on Monday through Saturday. In the mornings she works in an ivory palm factory. For over three years she has had the business, which she started using her first loan. She will use the loan to buy more bed sheets. Her dream is to have her own store.
