A loan helped to buy more clean water to sell.

Elizabeth's story

Elizabeth is 57 years old. She is a widow and has three children between the ages of 34 and 20 years.

Elizabeth has been selling water to her community for the past 10 years. Aplaku is a new community in Accra, and most households do not have access to water because there are no water pipes laid in the community.

As one of the few entrepreneurs who sell water in the community, she faces the major business challenge of inadequate capital to buy more water from the tankers to meet the demand of her clients. With this loan, Elizabeth will be able to buy more clean water to resell.

The extra income from this loan will help her to complete her building project. She is a second time borrower and has a good repayment history. Thank you to Kiva lenders for supporting Elizabeth's business!

This loan is special because:

It provides safe, clean water and sanitation facilities in slum areas.
