Demetria's story

Demetria is a very happy 45 year old woman. She lives in her own house together with her family, and cares for them very affectionately. What she most desires is to give them a better quality of life. Demetria works selling Andean products. Her stall is located in the Manco Cápac market (a large, important market in the city), and she sells potatoes, quinoa, yucca, and other tubers. She spends the whole day waiting for customers to purchase the products she sells. She is very happy that her stand is always very busy. What she most enjoys about her job is that she can converse with her customers and have more pleasing sales interactions. She has worked doing this activity for 23 years and she thinks the hardest part is having to remain all day at her stall to watch over it. In the future, she wants to have a store where she can sell a larger assortment of Andean products and attend to more customers. This is Demetria's fifth loan with MFP, and she is willing to divide a part of each day's earnings to pay for the loan without problems. She is beloved in her community bank, as she brings much happiness to the other members. With the 1,500 requested soles, she will buy more products to increase the quantity of products that she sells.
