A loan helped to buy pigs and food for them to raise and then sell them.

María Lucía's story

María is 38 years old. She lives with her husband and children in the community of Guanibuela, which is located close to Urcuqui.
Thanks to the support of the previous loan, she was able to have more income and to support her husband in growing corn and passion fruit.
María wants to now invest in raising pigs and for this she needs a loan to buy pigs and food for them to later sell them and have more income to help her husband with his crops and the household expenses.
María is a hardworking woman, who wants to earn her own income and this has been made a reality with the support of Kiva, for which she is very grateful.
