Peekapak's story

Ami is the co-founder of Peekapak, a social enterprise that has designed an award-winning social emotional learning platform that helps Pre-K and elementary students learn skills like self-regulation, empathy, and teamwork through stories, evidence-based lessons, and personalized learning games. In the US, 6.2m children have been victims of (or witnessed) violence and 36% of children have been emotionally bullied or teased. After three years, Peekapak is reaching over 200,000 educators/students. Early research has shown teacher perceived improvements on skills such as: Self-Regulation (+46%), Empathy (+35%), Team Work (+39%), Perseverance (+27%) and Classroom Dynamics (+55%).

This loan will help Peekapak accelerate its impact as it partners with a leading national education publisher. To support this partnership, Peekapak will attend key industry events to connect with district leaders looking to introduce more effective social emotional learning tools into their classrooms.
