A loan of $525 helped to buy chickens.

Juan Santos's story

Juan, 29, is married and has two children. He lives with his mother in the La Pava settlement, Mochumí department, which is an hour away from the city of Chiclayo. He has raised chickens for the last few months. This idea for a business grew from his need to have a more stable income; he used to transport cargo and passengers in a mototaxi but the earnings he received weren't sufficient to support his family. Juan fattens up chickens and then sells them to Mochumí's main stores. He is well received so he is planning on expanding. However, he lacks sufficient funds to do so. This is the reason he has called upon Edpyme Alternativa for the first time to request a 1500 new sol loan which will be used to buy more chickens to raise and sell. His greatest dream is to have his own house and to offer his children a better quality of life. Juan enjoys his work very much and dedicates the most time possible to it.
