A loan helped to buy kava roots (seedlings), chemicals, a backpack sprayer, and a chainsaw.

Loto's story

Loto is a 40-year-old, married woman with four children. She runs a business of selling kava in her community to earn a living. She has four years of experience with this business. Loto works very hard to please her customers with her fresh kava.

She thinks she will earn more income if she plants more kava, but in order to do this, Loto needs a loan to buy kava roots (seedlings), chemicals, a backpack sprayer, and a chainsaw to help her run the business.

She even delivers her products to the flea market by using the bus as transportation.

She comes from a family in which no one works to earn a living; only her business will help her family's needs. Her dream is that one day, her family will be at a great living standard.

She became a member of SPBD in 2016 to seek financing for her business. Loto realizes that your support will be a big help for her and her family to develop through financing.

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
