Akossiwa Y. was born on August 18, 1974 in Lomé. She ended her primary school studies and opted to enter a hairdressing apprenticeship. After completing her training, she was able to open a salon, which she manages effectively. Today, she is married and the mother of one child, and she is faced with rough competition, since hairdressing salons have popped up all over her neighborhood. To overcome this situation, she would like to acquire new salon supplies and to sell jewelry there too, as well as pagnes (colorful traditional cloths typically used as wraps or sarongs).

To do so, she is requesting a loan of $800 to buy a hairdryer and to serve as capital for selling jewelry and pagnes.
