Elizabeth's story

Elizabeth is 28 years old. She is married with one daughter, Abigail, who is six years old and in school. Elizabeth owns a retail shop, called Baraka G. Shop, where she sells sugar, rice, cooking oil and fat as well as general household items. She has been in business for five years, prior to which she was in farming. Elizabeth plans to buy sugar and shoes for sale, as well as sewing materials, such as cloths, and a sewing machine with the loan of KES 20,000. She hopes to buy more stock in the future and expand her business. Her dream is to grow her business from retail to wholesale. Elizabeth describes herself as hardworking.
