Juan Jose's story

Juan, 39, is single and has no children. He lives in a community in Arada, Santa Barbara. For 13 years he has worked in agriculture, cultivating and producing coffee. He has a coffee plantation and sells his produce to intermediaries in the area and neighboring communities.

He has received ten previous loan and the one he is applying for now is in the amount of 17,000 HNL. He will use it to buy fertilizers and supplies, manure, coffee seeds, and poultry litter for his coffee plantation so he can achieve a good harvest in the upcoming season.

His plan is to improve the coffee cropland to make it more ecological so he can offer better quality to his customers.
