A loan helped a member to buy shoes wholesale.

Libertad Group's story

The Libertad communal bank is part of the Agencia Copacabana. It is comprised of eight members who are friends and neighbors in their area. It is led by a board of directors, and Lourdes is the president.

The loan that she will take out will benefit small business owners where Lourdes is a member. She currently has a business selling shoes. She learned this several years ago.

The loan that she will now take out is to increase capital in order to buy shoes wholesale. She will get them from the wholesale vendors in the city of La Paz. She will later sell them at her sales stand. This way of working allows her to generate resources to support her family financially. She is single, and she has two children. Her aspiration is to expand her business.

In this group: Marizola, Maxima, Luis Fernando, Alex, Bernarda, Lourdes, Elena, Juanita
