A loan helped to purchase more local food for market to increase her business.


Aminata's story

Meet 51 year old Aminata from Masuba branch. She is married with 8 children between the ages of 21 and 35 years old.

Aminata runs a retail table business and sells rice, beans, bennie, corn, flour, funday and other items to her customers around the community. She has been in this business for the past 10 years now and work 10 hours per day and 6 days a week. Her main challenge is financial constraints. Her other source of income is from her husband and children.

Aminata requested this loan from BRAC to purchase more local food for market to increase her business. She says that the extra income from this loan will add up to her business and to improve her standard of living and to increase her capital.

In the future she wants her business to expand. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva community for their supports.
