A loan of $350 helped set up her own bakery.

Maria's story

Maria (28) lives with her mother and with her three young children, Gian Marco (13), Jordan (8) and Luis (4).
From an early age she helped her mother bake bread at home and became a skilled baker. After separating from her husband, she began to work at a bakery where her mother worked. She mixes the ingredients to make delicious baked goods that are a real temptation. She likes her work; she is a willing worker and earns a good wage, which enables her to maintain her children and pay for their education since she wants them to have what she couldn't have: a profession.
Looking to the future, Maria plans to open a bakery with her mother, and make it the best bakery in the area; she has great aspirations and a strong desire to succeed.
This is her sixth loan from MFP, and she will repay it punctually, as she has in the past, so as not to let down the members of the community bank. She will use the money to buy ingredients and utensils to start setting up her own bakery and improve her situation.
