A loan helped to buy fertilizers and mulch for his coffee farm.

Andrew's story

Andrew, age 34, is a husband and father. He lives in Ntungamo with his entire family. He is a motorcyclist within Ntungamo, which has been his main source of income for years. He also does coffee farming to supplement his income. The income he gets from the sale of coffee helps in funding the family expenses. Andrew wants to improve his yields, both in quality and quantity, but this cannot happen without applying fertilizers.

He has therefore approached UGAFODE for a loan of 2,000,000 UGX to buy fertilizers for his coffee farm. He will also use part of the loan to buy mulch so that he can control soil erosion in this rainy season. Andrew is hopeful that the productivity of his plantation will improve, thereby bringing in more returns. He is grateful for the support.
