Joseph Okero's story

Joseph runs a general shop, where he sells household goods to residents and walk-ins at Mukuru kwa Njenga, a slum area. He has been in this business for the last three years. His faces the business challenge of lack of funds to restock the goods sold. He will use the requested loan of KES30,000 to buy more of the goods sold at the shop. In the future, he wants to expand the business and be a wholesaler. Joseph is married and has a three year old daugther. He describes himself as hardworking, honest and dedicated to his work.
