A loan helped to purchase wholesale food products to increase production and build an eating area for her customers.

Veronica's story

Veronica is a 25-year-old entrepreneur who resides in the Mfantseman municipality in Ghana. She runs her own fast food restaurant. Veronica is now requesting a Kiva loan to purchase wholesale food products to increase production and build an eating area for her customers. She plans to use the profit she earns to reinvest in the business.

Veronica will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering two and a half hours per week as a member of the Campaign for Female Education (CAMFED) alumnae association, CAMA, providing mentorship to younger members as they tackle a range of personal and entrepreneurial issues.

This loan is special because:

It provides 0% interest loans to entrepreneurs that give back to their community by mentoring.
